H. Jae Chun, MD

Dr. Chun is a plastic surgeon certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery.  His expertise lies in cosmetic procedures of the face, body and breasts.  In addition, he is deeply committed to reconstructive plastic surgery and actively participates in reconstructive care of many unfortunate patients.
 
Profoundly influenced by the pioneering work of Dr. Tessier in craniofacial surgery, Dr. Chun decided in high school to pursue plastic surgery.  He was one of sixty high school students nationwide to be accepted directly into the Honors Program in Medical Education at Northwestern University Medical School.  After graduating with AOA Honors, he completed his general surgery residency at University of Southern California Medical Center and became certified by the American Board of Surgery.  He then completed his plastic surgery training at USC.  He has been in private practive dedicated to cosmetic and reconstructive plastic surgery in Newport Beach since 1995.  He was certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and then recertified in 2007 with emphasis on cosmetic surgery.
 
Being in solo private practice has allowed Dr. Chun to create a plastic surgery practice consistent with his philosophy of careful consideration of each patients' wishes.  Consistent with this approach, Dr. Chun personally conducts all initial patient consultations to identify patient goals and provide pertinent medical information.  There is absolutely no pressure as he firmly believes in giving all pertinent information and then allowing patients to process and make the right decision. 
 
Dr. Chun's staff will guide patients throughout this process to optimize satisfaction.
